Firmament Films Presents: Significant

Are you fond of Sci-fi? Do you enjoy shows that utilize time travel as a plot device?
Well if you answered affirmatively to at least one of those questions, look no further.
Firmament Films is unveiling their most recent project, Significant.
I felt it was only appropriate that I aid this effort with some poster designs of my own.

HERE

is the link to the first episode of Significant that I've been anxiously awaiting for some time now.
I hope you enjoy yourselves and feel free to pass this on to others.

The smaller posters were my first attempt and from there
the larger posters that follow are where I have ended up.

I'm Back!

For the past two days I've been in Vegas for my mom's birthday, without internet!
It was pretty hard, but I survived.
Now with that being said,
I have a lack of interest in drinking and gambling so this may leave you wondering,
" What the heck did I do the whole time I was here?"
Well, for your information, I've been working overtime so that I may bring a little joy to your life.
Yes, I know, and you're welcome.

;)

Can you guess which movie posters I based these off of?
Here they are, and feel free to leave feedback.

In case you were wondering,
here are the original movie posters I parodied.

The Princess Knight: Poster Variations

For those of you unaware,
my boyfriend is a wonderful, handsome and talented individual.
He can act, draw, write, tell funny jokes, wash dishes and much, much more.
All in all, he's pretty cool.
So in order to show the appreciation I feel towards him,
I like to make little tokens of my gratitude,
and below you'll find just that.

Princess Knight is a musical he's been working on for some time.
It's about a girl who wants to be more than what people expect of her. He's put a lot of heart into this and it's finally reached completion. The world premier of the show will be at the Malt House theatre in Burlington Wisconsin.

Below is the poster I've made in honor of all his dedication.

or at least some of it, he's got a lot to go around,
so it may take a few more posters to cover it all.

and...

Here,
you'll find the link to his blog where he talks about everything there is to know about this fun musical.
He tells you about the characters, the concepts, and what he was thinking about while writing everything.

Enjoy.

1st version

Significant: Coming Soon

I'm back once again with another update.
Today, I tell you a little bit about Significant.
This is a short film project currently in the works by none other than

It stars T.C. De Witt, Chad Halvorsen, Jesse Stokdyk, Chris Moehr and Jessica Moehr.
It's a Sci-fi drama featuring time travel, action, and a little bit of mystery.
The writer of this short, T.C. De Witt, put a lot of heart into the culminating of this piece. He's a big fan of time travel so he wanted to make sure the right amount of thought went into it to do the science fictional concept justice.

I too cherish and appreciate the work that this team does, and strive to achieve nothing but the best for my friends at Firmament. Though this poster isn't quite ready, I couldn't bare to leave it sitting on my computer unseen. So here's a little sneak peak at what's to come.

Red Light, Green Light, Warm Light, Cool Light

Today  I decided to go bananas. I took the skull of our lovely ape cousin here and slowly constructed a face full of warm and cool light and shadow. The first picture is a progress shot I took after I was well on my way.

After looking at the first version for a while I felt like there were some things I could work on, so that's what I did. Touched him up here and there and eventually came to this point. I like him quite a bit where he's at and we'll take a break here for now.

But I will add a little yellow to help him stand out.
Plus, yellow is the color of his favorite food,
but I don't need to tell YOU that...

cause everyone knows gorillas love lemon drops.

Right Davey?

Firmament Films: The Up and Coming

Played around in Photoshop today.
I created a rough draft movie poster while I was up at Mt. High with my friends Todd and Amanda celebrating Todd's 31st birthday.
This is for a tentative short being planned by Firmament Films,
an independent Midwestern production Company.
Some editing needs to be done, but I like where this is going.
I already know I like what it's for.

also!

Here's a link to the trailer for "Seven Year Wish", another short by Firmament.

and here's the link to the actual short.

It was created for the Madison 48hr Film Festival Competition and won several awards:
Audience Choice, and Best Use of Dialogue among others.
It has also been accepted into several film festivals,
including The Wildwood Film Festival and Greenbay Film Festival, to name a few.

This team of talented and skilled individuals is very promising. They love what they do and are very passionate about each of their projects. They are very much a family working towards a common goal. I'm very anxious to see what other works they  produce down the road to success and look forward to being there to experience it all.

If you like what you've seen so far, here's a link to their facebook fan page.
Like them to keep up to date with all the exciting new projects they plan to grace the world with.

;)

Here's my 2nd attempt at a poster for Man Alone,
a short I am thoroughly looking forward to being a part of.

This here is my 1st attempt at a poster for the upcoming short.
