Brochure Design

Here I present to you a brochure I designed for an assignment in my Jewelry Class.
We had to choose a jeweler and create a brochure that might be used in an exhibit for his work.
I chose Shaun Leane, a world renowned jeweler.
His work really appealed to me in many ways, and I believe this quote from his site says it all:

" Leane has been responsible for creating a new genre of jewellery; precious, poetic, with a sense of eternity, yet relevant to today’s world.   The powerful, emotive and often poignant beauty of Shaun Leane jewellery is underlined with sentiment, stories and meaning, tapping into the history and heritage of jewellery."

Future Works for Palomar Observatory

Certain projects in school don't amount to much more than a good grade.
However, once in a while they can become plans for future endeavors.
Well I believe I've come across just that.
My stain glass class required the culmination of a hypothetical public sculpture.
I believe, this will become a project that I strive to achieve in the future.

One Day.

Thar She Blows!

Today I caught wind of a little inspiration.
Whilst hanging out with my good friend Matt,
I mentioned that I had been trying my hand at some posters
for a couple theatre productions a friend is putting on.
He drew my attention to some minimalist posters he had seen prior to my visit
and after that my hamsters hopped on their wheels and high tailed it to Artsland.

Here's what I got when they arrived.
This one goes out to you Matt,
thanks for the inspiration.

Mysterium theatre presents

For those of you who may not know, I come from a background of theatre.
From the 7th grade, all four years of high school, and into the first 2 years of college,
I was striving for an acting career.

Although these endeavors have not ceased,
I've adjusted my artistic focus for the time being.
Since then I've enhanced my skills,
and seeing how the friends I acquired from my theatre days still remain,
I'm able to aid them in the technical aspect of production.
So with that being said,
here are the posters for my friend SJ.

Hope they explain the rest.

Playing around with the Digital Paints

A few weeks ago my boyfriend TC filmed a short that  I created a poster for.
Relish is the name, some of you may recognize it.
Well I would have loved to had the chance to be the makeup artist for the shoot,
because frankly, to me, there wasn't enough blood in the final cut.
However, I had school and was unable to make it.
So here I played around in the good old Photoshops
and created what I would have done with the make up,
had I been there.

The First of Many

This marks the first of the assuredly many more collaborations to come with

The artist responsible for the many fabulous works encountered through the link provided is
my lovely boyfriend, TC De Witt.
He's an experienced and creatively talented comic book artist.
It's not easy being amazing at so many things,
but he pulls it off with such grace.
I only hope my artistic touch can do justice to the beautiful line work being provided.

Two Years Later

Wednesday, April 4th marked the two year anniversary
of my wonderful relationship with a very special person.

T.C. De Witt.

These past two years have been quite the adventure,
and I've appreciated and enjoyed every moment.
Except for that one time in Florida... :P
TC has become a very important element in my life and I look forward to our many more adventurous years to come.

As a symbol of my affection, I've designed and hand crafted a copper
picture frame as a gift. It took many laborious hours to complete,
but nonetheless I am thoroughly pleased with where I have ended up.

The picture at the bottom of the frame was taken on October 30th, 2010 when TC began courting me.
Our relation was just a budding seed then.
The photo at the top was taken on January 1, 2012, and is a representation of how much our relationship has flourished over the past two years.

Significant Posters

is the most recent short produced by Firmament films.
It's quite the edgy sci-fi flick and currently I am working on a poster that's just right for it.
Below you will find several variations I've come up with so far, but have yet to decide on.
There are also more versions in the works, so stay tuned.

I just don't know which color I like the best.
