Before there was Dangerous Summers, there was another.

The genre pulled that year was suspense/thriller, and for those of you who have yet to try and make
this genre of film on your own, it's not easy.
A lot of work needs to go into a this type of film, because you're not just trying to tell a story,
you're trying to tell a story that effects your audience in a particular, unsettling way.
No matter, Firmament took this challenge as a means to learn and grow
and I think they did a fine job at that.

My name is Candace Ostler and I approve this message.

Dangerous Summers

T'was the summer of 2010.
Firmament Films was entering its second year competing in
The Madison 48 Hour Film Festival.
I was unable to attend then,
but this did not stop the team from putting together a piece
 that would win Audience Choice.

Give it a watch and see for yourself.

The Hopeful Puppet Project

Here we have a couple of pictures for my newest little project that I have excitedly agreed to take on.
I am going to attempt to manufacture my own little set of functional latex based hand puppets.
I'm hopeful that the path I have chosen in order to achieve this is a successful one.
For the first step, I've sculpted my test puppet head out of clay.
My next step will be to purchase some plaster so that I can make a cast of my finished demo head. Keep a lookout, I will be updating the site with pictures of how the project unfolds in the coming weeks.

Stay tuned.
